January 27, 2009 - PureSpectrum, Inc. embarking on international tour of industry trade shows

January 28th, 2009

SAVANNAH, GAPureSpectrum, Inc. (PSPM) is embarking on a global tour of electrical and utility industry trade shows in February and March that formally launches the company’s initial sales campaign for its full line of proprietary dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps.

In February, PureSpectrum will exhibit at the Utility Products Conference and Exposition in San Diego and travel to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to exhibit at the Middle East Electricity Exhibition and Conferences (MEEEC).

The Utility Products event in California will be attended by the leading electric utilities, electric cooperatives and public power companies in North America, and PureSpectrum’s appearance there supports a dedicated sales initiative to sell dimmable CFLs directly to power providers eager to offer consumers high quality energy efficient lighting.

In the fourth quarter of 2008, PureSpectrum received a multimillion capital investment commitment from Emirates International Capital Advisory (EICA), and the company will attend the trade shows in Dubai to explore business opportunities within the UAE that may result from the relationship with EICA. The MEEC show is the only showcase in the Middle East featuring lighting products for the industrial, residential and commercial sectors and is attended by representatives from all of the member nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council, including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudia Arabia.

“Our business strategy has always contained an international component, because we understand that products and technologies with inherent global applications,” said PureSpectrum president and CEO Lee Vanatta. “In order to be competitive and begin capturing market share, we believe we need to aggressively pursue sales targets and relationships in all applicable markets. The demand for PureSpectrum’s products is consistent, and these trade shows are going to provide a platform for us to introduce our bulbs to the world.”

PureSpectrum will showcase its entire product line, including multiple bulb styles ranging from nine to 23 watts, while also demonstrating the difference between PureSpectrum’s dimming technology and commercially available dimmable CFLs.  PureSpectrum’s dimmable CFL contains far fewer components than conventional dimmable CFLs, which will allow the company to seize a considerable competitive advantage in the marketplace by selling dependable, high quality dimmable CFL bulbs for a price comparable to standard, non-dimmable CFLs.

The company recently announced that the volume of individual requests to purchase PureSpectrum dimmable CFLs has been high enough to accelerate the development of an online shopping module in the second quarter. In December, PureSpectrum finalized a manufacturing contract with a private U.S. lighting company manufacture branded PureSpectrum dimmable CFL bulbs, and the company has already received its first bulk order from a utility company.

“The reality for this company is that the performance of our technology in independent testing and the grass roots interest that developed as a result of those tests sold our bulbs before we began the production and sales process in earnest,” Vanatta said. “It has become more and more clear to us through the feedback we have received at virtually every level from corporate boardrooms to investors to single consumers that the consumer is searching for dependable, cost effective dimmable CFLs. And at this point, they realize that PureSpectrum’s dimmable bulb is superior to any other commercially available dimmable CFL.”

PureSpectrum’s dimmable CFLs gained distinction in 2008 when independent testing affirmed that the company’s dimmable ballast technology enables CFL bulbs to dim in linear regression just like an incandescent bulb. Once PureSpectrum built its own line of prototypes and continued independent testing, the data generated revealed that PureSpectrum’s innovative electrical engineering also enabled the company’s CFL to reduce energy consumption proportionally during dimming.

All PureSpectrum CFLs and products will be fully compliant with established performance standards set forth by Energy Star, Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
